IF, numbers of ps2 and ps3 are close, is THAT a BAD thing FOR ps3? Because PS2 sold in 2001 around 16 mln.

One thing that makes those numbers skewed in the PS3 favor is the fact that the PS2 was severly supply constrained heading into 2001.  PS3 did not share that problem.  Lets get a little further into 2008 and see how well the PS3 in 2008 compares to PS2 in 2001. I think you will be disapointed.
