Hey all, after reading every single post in this thread I get the impression that we let users get away too often or that our punishments are too soft.
However other times users (mainly the ones I have banned for a few days) complain that there was nothing wrong with what they said and that's basically just their "opinion".

To "end" this dispute, I'd like as many opinions as possible:

- Please answer the poll
- state your opinion in this thread. What kind of violations do you think need to be dealt with differently in the future ?

NOTE - I was not descended from the mod heavens to do this. It's only for my personal pleasure. Whatever the results for this poll are, the mod system MAY or MAY NOT change.

It should be looser. Especially for active members who post alot in the forum.

I found that picture on another forum where the user did not get banned.

Reason for ban:Trolling (The "xbox 360 has no games" joke is getting old. )

Banning for a whole week just posting a picture wich many people thought was funny is exaggerating.

I don't even get warnings anymore, when my comment is not liked I get banned for long periods.

TBF thats not the site.. its a crap mod lol why ban someone for posting an obvious joke? 

That's how the moderation system works.

You get one warning (one for each of the 3 fields: Trolling/Flaming, Spamming/Sig/Avatar violations, Alt IDs) then you will start to receive a ban.

You only get a second warning if it was a very minor violation or if you have proven to be law-abiding user for a few months and then step over the boundaries.

It's good now, but I think banning periods should be longer for when people do break the rules multiple times

Naturally, I like the status quo.

And it seems the poll favours that as well.

Oh okay. I'm a law abiding user. I don't think Ive been treated fair with some of the bans I got. Another one was this:

I supposedly attacked a country. I have a lot of Greek friends who think the same as me. Their army bought lots of tanks and weapons from France and Germany. Thats why the biggest party Syriza thinks of shrinking the armed forces. In no way did I imply my country was superior. Lets see, you don't see Belgium(10m people) comparing herself with Germany(82m people) do you?

I posted an alot in the forums. Am I immune to moderation now?

And your post was definitely trolling. It's fine if the other site's rules don't extend to banning that sort of thing, but ours do.
