EA CEO John Riccitiello has said Mass Effect 3 is currently the “best piece of software” that’s been announced for Wii U.

 

The BioWare RPG was announced for the system at the Nintendo press conference on Tuesday as part of a b-roll video, but the announcement was warmly received.

“We looked at the Wii U launch line-up yesterday and we’re very pleased there was a lot of applause for ME3,” Riccitiello said in a investor call last night.

In fact I think it got one of the loudest applauses, so we’re pleased that people see it as the single best piece of software that’s been announced for the platform.”

Despite the announce, no more details was given on how the game would work for the system or if it’d be a launch title.

I'm surprised it got so much applause after that backlash a while ago. If a 9 month old game (around the time Wii U releases) is your best piece of software, that's not too much of a positive.

Pikmin 3 and ZombiU say otherwise. But I'm sure it's good none the less, haven't really paid much attention to Mass Effect.

Finally playing it on the 360 literally this morning (so hooked), unsurprisingly great despite the backlash, trashing by picky gamers. Most of the games I love get hated on so I should be used to it. Once again do not listen to internet haters.

I think it is one of the best. Ass creed 3 looks good and I know batman is badaaaasss.

Actually, I would say Wii U players should buy the first 2 on 360. Full experience is the best.

well you will miss out on mass effect 1 because it is published by microsoft but Id say you will get the interactive comic of the 1st game in the mass effect 3. Have ea said if mass effect 2 is coming to wii U?
