huzzah, something that isn't Halo, Gears or Forza!

Forza Horizon really isn't Forza.  Its PGR5 using a different name especially since its developed mostly by former Bizzare Creations employees.  Turn 10 has only a supporting role in the development of the game their busy working on DLC for Forza 4 and Forza 5.

Really? Why not just call it Project Gotham? Unless I'm wrong, that was quite popular, I seem to remember people calling out for that to return. I know internet hype is not the same as real life hype but still.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Okay, this thread is about Alan Wake 2 I think, not the lineup of the 360.

1st thought is about bloody time MS gets more games that are not mainstream. This is what they need to be labeled a company that does variety.

2nd thought is I hope it is rated mature this time, the teen rating made it less scary than it''s true potential I hope this is done right.

Please please please please make this happen.

What a great thing this would be.

Alan Wake was a fantastic game.

Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Alan Wake 2, Gears of War, Fable Journey, Ryse, New Ip and much more.

This is gonna be fucking delicous!

AW AN was ok. But if number 2 is like the original just more bigger and better then I will be very happy.

The only game to come close to the storytelling in Alan Wake is Uncharted. But Alan Wake is king. Keep that same tv episode feel and intrigue and Remedy will create a masterpiece.

Hard claim to make about Alan Wake with only one main line game. Alan Wakes story is more corny, but the atmosphere and gameplay is what makes it really good. I would say uncharted does everything better except create suspense and is a bad choice for comparison. Kind of a desperate comparison for most people.

At this point Forza is just a bigger name and gets more recognition which they hope will lead to more sales.  PGR 4 only sold over a million because it was included in a X-Box live starter kit even though it was better then the 3rd game without that it probably would have only sold about 800K copies.  Im sure they hoping that Forza Horzion will sell over a million copies without bundles and heavy discounts.

M rating could lead to less sales not everyone is as lucky with M rated games like Rockstar (Take 2).

I was thinking of that as similar to how many movies barely make PG -13 to have a bigger audience. But I really do not see a similar trend in games. The biggest sellers on the 360 and PS3 for the most part are rated M, especially the shooters. COD, Battlefield and Halo jump to my mind quickly. Rockstar does things above and beyound most with mature themes and are known for this. I would actually say the only pretty successful shooter based game is the uncharted series and an exception to what is common. The game has proven to not be a mega hit and I think they would do better to put every scary and hair raising thing in it to make it what is was suppossed to be, scary. I see it doing just as well or better with a mature rating.

I never knew PGR didn't do that well, well from what I hear, F-H sounds awesome may it fair better.

hm doubt it.
Did 650k in 2007 and 800k in 2008, but was only bundled very late in 2008.
