Okay, this thread is about Alan Wake 2 I think, not the lineup of the 360.

1st thought is about bloody time MS gets more games that are not mainstream. This is what they need to be labeled a company that does variety.

2nd thought is I hope it is rated mature this time, the teen rating made it less scary than it''s true potential I hope this is done right.

M rating could lead to less sales not everyone is as lucky with M rated games like Rockstar (Take 2).

I was thinking of that as similar to how many movies barely make PG -13 to have a bigger audience. But I really do not see a similar trend in games. The biggest sellers on the 360 and PS3 for the most part are rated M, especially the shooters. COD, Battlefield and Halo jump to my mind quickly. Rockstar does things above and beyound most with mature themes and are known for this. I would actually say the only pretty successful shooter based game is the uncharted series and an exception to what is common. The game has proven to not be a mega hit and I think they would do better to put every scary and hair raising thing in it to make it what is was suppossed to be, scary. I see it doing just as well or better with a mature rating.
