Forums - Website Topics - What's your most missed feature on VG Chartz?

I can't remember what VG looked like before the change.

But, I do remember my gripes.  What I liked about VG chartz was the look of a non-game site.  It looked more statistics based.  I remember looking at IGN or Game trailers, or Gamespot and thinking, 'now it just looks like a traditional game site'.  That look distinguished itself from other game enthusiat site.

That's just what I thought.

.........why did you really come back here Gilgamesh? What do you miss? Dtewi?

I still chat with Dtewi from time to time.

I was going to post the search feature needs to be fixed desperately!

I've never gotten over the taking away of the 'Top 200'. I miss it even more when the holiday season kicks in.

Also you can only filter (by post or views or anything) the first page in any forum, once you click the second page it goes away :(

First reply pretty much nailed it. I also miss the section that would which games were releasing over the next few weeks.

Delete cache/vgchartz cookie.

Where to start. I used to really like this website, but I've never seen a website take away so much functionality.

First, the way to manage your games library is just broken. New games can't even be added to my library. The number one reason I came here in the first place was to keep track of my library.

Second, the top 200. I realize they were trying to make some money, but when they took away the top 200, they absolutely ruined the site for me. I went from coming here 3 to 4 times per week, to coming here maybe 2 times per month. Big mistake, and I sense that I'm not along.

Stop taking things away! That's a terrible way to run a website. Absolutely terrible. You never take things away.

Adding games was never gone.

@ mach...mystic

What? You mmmean d'angelos articles?

It was never gone but updating games was.  We couldn't add games that didn't have release dates.  Newer games like Gravity Rush and a lot of others couldn't be added.  Now, we're back in business.

How are we back in business?  I can't add ZombiU, NSMB2 (been out for awhile now), and many more games.  Pretty much any new game since about fall 2011.  I can't even add Mario Kart 7.  Gave up on my game list a long time ago.

I think I was able to add a game that I thought wasn't there (or I just believed Spurg--I can't remember).  Apparently, we were never back in business.  The business was broken into, robbed of everything valuable, the clerk was raped, and then the structure was burned down.

I wish we were allowed to do user reviews of games

Oh yeah, and I wish badges were back (there's no point in having a broken feature...it just makes the site look unprofessional). Also, the game collection, of course
