Majora's Mask. That game haunts me.

Bigger world with more places to explore and people to meet. A new 2d game would be welcome but im not keen on the idea of remakes even though I loved OoT3d. I want new experiences and new memories.
For the WiiU, Do similar to Skyward Sword, but just tweak it slightly:
-Add more dungeons (8/9)
-Increase difficulty further/add difficulty options
-Make the overworld an overworld, which you can walk to any point in it.
-Add more towns and sidequests, with actual rewards
-More puzzles please!
-More fighting please!
But make sure you keep the fighting style, and the overworld puzzles (perhaps not quite as long, even if the Sandsea was AWESOME!), the cool minigames, the boss fights, the story, the length, the dungeon design (Sky Keep was cool) etc.
The game is very good, but it could just be slightly better. Maybe add HD graphics like in the demo as well for the WOW factor.
For the 3DS, make a game like A Link To The Past, but in 3D. Maybe a 3D overworld with 2D dungeons would be nice. Or just remake Majora's Mask and ALttP.

1 - Agree. Difficult is good already, but add a little bit more options, like a controllable difficult degree. Kid Icarus made this wondefully well, and Zelda should do something similar. It's just fantastic to play one level easy when you just want to relax and then play the next on hardcore to toast your brain!
2 - Completely disagree. One of the only flaws of TP was the giant, tiresome hyrule castle/city thing. Majora's mask Termina had the same problem to me. Towns should be few AND small on Zelda games. OoT (among others) did this great: Kokiri Forest, Hyrule, Goron Moutain, Kakariko and Zora's Fountain (and to a certain degree, Gerudo's Fortress) were all very consise, everything was layed out fast and easy for the player.

Towns- Perhpas not. But settlements with sidequests, definitely. I need more to do outside of the main story.
And an adjustable difficulty like KI:U would be great!

This is actually a great idea. Could damage the brand but a great idea nonetheless. Could sell gangbusters too.

As a big fan of both series, I approve this!
But they woudn't do this I think... the money Lego games make are probably due to them being available in every single system known to man!

As much as I have the same desire (the magic of Zelda 1 was never recreated), I don't think you can say with certainty that it was lost due to the 3rd dimension.
If you look at Zelda 1, think of the crooked trees, the theme of secrets, the simple yet mystifying tunes, the confident footsteps as he enters a room, the strange sound that chimes when you obtain a new weapon/item, the chippy sound of rupees.
When you enter a room, you don't hear the fire, you just see it, alot of the sounds are dampened. This is a quality very few understand in entertainment, I wish some of us could see that.
Another thing, the woody textures and colors, the brown, the beige, the tree green. The graphics are not fuzzy, they are crisp on the NES, and simple yet to the point.
These few details that made Zelda 1 simple yet mystical, Nintendo was never able to recreate, except with maybe Zelda II (imho), and even then only to a certain extent.
There was something quiet yet ringy in Zelda 1, the only other game that had that sound appeal to an extent was OoT. Quiet moments were important in that game, and so was the use of echo.
i don't think Nintendo should remake any Zelda game themselves as i would rather have something new from their teams.
i don't want a hub linking to different "levels" as in SS. i want it like OoT open world but I'm 99% sure that that is what will happen with Zelda WiiU
i always wanted a world where they mix WW and OoT play stile as in have a part land and part ocean with islands. you need a boat to reach them of course and a horse to ride across the fields
