Love it or hate it, expect more stories like this in the coming months. Black Ops II is already breaking retail records.

According to Amazon, day one pre-orders for the latest Call of Duty game are three times higher than those achieved by its 2010 predecessor Black Ops.

“Set to be one of the biggest games of the year, it’s great to see so much enthusiasm and anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” said Amazon UK’s video games manager Graham Chambers.

Stuff like The Last of Us and co should have those numbers...
And not Copy Paste Adventures#132443535535 like the CoD Series.

Glad i will die to Diablo 3 in this year - A real awesome game that would deserve 100 Million sold units.

It's yet another sad day for gaming... good for the sales and money put into the industry but the sooner people realise that COD games taking so much of the gaming revenue is hindering the creative and innovative aspect of the industry the better!

Sadly i will likely have to buy this game but not for me, for my Dad who is a huge COD lover but surprisingly enough only for the campaign as he doesnt like playing online (runs in the family lol)

The recpetion must be that fans are well aware that Treyarch are the true CoD devs. Just look at Waw and Blops compared to MW2 and MW3. It's as if Infinity Ward didn't even try to add new features.

60 dollars for the game and 30 or more for the DLC per year to play the same formula of entertainment its beyond my comprehension... (and for half the COD players add the fee of the on-line service, mostly pay it just to play this game)
i bet there are gamers that have more COD games in the library than the others all together!

The game does look interesting actually, and it sounds like they are doing some new things which is nice, though I do always enjoy my yearly dose of CoD (+ lots more game time through the year)

Having said that, why bother pre-ordering now? Wait to see what lovely special editions there are, and also to find a better deal!
