Did you actually WATCH the Black Ops 2 trailer? It isn't a copy paste of any COD game before. TOTALLY different setting.

I never meant it in a literall way, Yo_John. Of course my opinion doesn't matter. I think the CoD Series is crap, to some people it may be awesome! I can't make decisions for people, you are right, but I can make my own, just like you are saying.

Oh yes, a random new IP exclusive to one system should sell tens of millions the way an established and successful franchise across multiple platforms like COD does every year just because the Sony fanboys demand it to be so.

I lol'd when I read that...especially saying MS wouldn't ever release Halo 4 in November with COD...which they are

But I do agree with his opinion that Black Ops 2 will do naughty things to Halo 4 sales wise.

What do I need to explain?  You see the post hype buzz about the game?  People didn't like the said attempt at more realism in GTA IV and the game was consistently on lists of games that were overhyped.  People didn't find it as fun, and wanted more.   That was the direction that GTA went, an attempt to be more serious with the single player game.  In light of this, why do you think that GTA V will dethrone anything, or even has a shot of dethroning COD?  Is GTA V going to have a superior online multiplayer mode?  If not, show me a single player game that would end up outselling the top titles that have a strong multiplayer element.  Call of Duty now fits into having a strong multiplayer element, at least from the perspective of driving sales.



People did complain about GTA IV being more 'serious' than the previous installments, but I hardly think that would have any damaging effect on future installments sales. Look at the legs of GTA IV, especially on the PS3, 1 million plus for the past 3 years. Not quite sure about your, 'why do you think that GTA V will dethrone anything, or even has a shot of dethroning COD' line, this is GTA we're talking about, it isn't some little mickey mouse IP, it's sold over 100 million copies, it's an extremely well known franchise. It'll sell big, and will definitely give COD a run for it's money.
