It is Nintendo's responsibility to get 3rd parties to make games for their console. The Wii is extremely under-powered, this is pretty much the only reason most of the big 3rd party games aren't on the system.

How is the PS3 a disappointment? 1st party games are better than on the PS2 IMO. 
3rd Party games are also better than ever.

What are you going by here? Sales or Game library? Since you included Kinect, I'm assuming you mean game library which brings me back to PS3, it shouldn't be on your list.

PS3 is a disappointment compared to initial expectations and predecessors performance. Thats a fact!

Also, I'm entitled to my opinion.

In sales? Sure, that's fact.

Quality of the games? Nope. 

That is not the Wii's fault. At the start of the generation most (if not all) of the third party developers where preparing for the launch of the PS3 as it was expected to be the leader again and they were already developing games for the 360 as it came out 1 year before, nobody was expecting the Wii leadership. After they invested a ton of money getting the tools for HD development and saw that the Wii was winning it was just too late to go back, so they stick to their original plan and refuse to take many of its franchises to the Wii.

I was clarifying that the quality of games is largely subjective, because I didn't think it was very clear in your post. 

I genuinely love my Wii and have spent hundreds of happy hours playing it. Games like Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii and DKC:R are some of the best ever created, imho, and the inclusion of the Virtual Console only helps bolster its awesomeness for me.

Disappointment implies there were high hopes. Given that everyone expected Nintendo to fail (remember the analysts wanting it to go third-party) and that third parties abandoned it while it was still the Revolution (i.e., RE 5), it by definition cannot be a disappointment.

Once it became a top selling system, there was disappointment in the third-party software. Too many titles by big developers were rushed with less-than-stellar motion controls. The discerning and somewhat different Wii buyer would not put up with games where the motion was not recognized properly or at all or where it was added for no good reason. That and their resistance to buy annual sequels led many companies to do very little with the Wii, rather than make it a lead development platform and scale-up the games for the HD systems (N'Gai Croal suggested that ... Warren Spector is doing that). Instead, the Wii was left with junk, dumbed-down versions, and late PS2 ports. Now that was disappointing.

Out of the 400 Wii games I own, 100 are golden and about the same are junk. Too much junk is not good for a console.
