Some of you are missing my point, Ya Nintendos first party games are ALWAYS going to be great to the Nintendo fans, they have one of the best first party games. They can come out with a console that sells 15 million WW and it'll still probably have over 10 games that sell over 10 million. It's just the way it works with Nintendo, there like the MAC of gaming, if it says Mario, Wii, or any other popular Nintendo character or console in the title Nintendo fans will flock to it.
But my point is as a leading console has it performed the way a leading gaming console generally perform? No Nintendo did there own thing. They stuck with there first party and everything went great for the first few years, but eventually the many big exciting games released on the X360 and PS3 and making it more enticing. So ya Nintendo dropped the ball, they relied to much on first party, which is fine, it pleases all the Nintendo fans, but as for all the other gamer's it kept them away. |
Your original question was, "Has the Wii become one of the biggest disappointments in gaming?"
"One of the biggest disappointments in gaming?" How long have you been gaming?
Nintendo Virtual Boy
Sega 32x
Playstation Move
Playstation 3
Atari Jaguar
Panasonic 3DO
Sega DreamCast
Atari Lynx
Nokia Ngage
Microsoft Kinect
All bigger disappointments in gaming than the Wii. I could go on and on with that list too.

How is the PS3 a disappointment? 1st party games are better than on the PS2 IMO.
3rd Party games are also better than ever.
What are you going by here? Sales or Game library? Since you included Kinect, I'm assuming you mean game library which brings me back to PS3, it shouldn't be on your list.

PS3 is a disappointment compared to initial expectations and predecessors performance. Thats a fact!
Also, I'm entitled to my opinion.

In sales? Sure, that's fact.
Quality of the games? Nope.
