This article implies it'll launch at most a few months earlier, so nothing major. Still, I would be extremely pleased with Sony not releasing last.

You can't forget though that X360 and PS3 has a combine userbase of almost 130 million users. Would you release GTAV on a userbase of 130 million or a new set on consoles just starting out?
Sure it'd be better for Microsoft and Sony to release it on the new conosle to get people to buy em but it's better for Rockstar, probably be another easy 20 million sales.
i definitely want gta5 this year on current gen consoles but you have to admit when that gta trailer released and all we still havent got any confirmation on what platforms it'll be on yet that's pretty weird
also it looks likely gta will release next year since maxpayne gets released next month it will feel pretty weird for gta5 (one of the biggest SW releases this gen imo) to release Q2 2013 and then in Q3-4 we get new HW it just hasnt worked like that look at all the big SW releases from last gen GTASA, MGS3, and RE4 they were all released in 04 and very early 05 with RE4, about a year prior plus to when the 360 released
you want a drought in SW releases to you old gen prior to releasing new HW that also gets gamers to move on and 2013 doesnt look like a drought SW wise not even close

When PS4 launches it won't replace the PS3.
PS3 will continue being supported for years.
If anything shows longetivy, its PS3 sales at this time of year which are higher than the 360 without tons of advertising.
