Hmm, interesting to see if this will be true, I doubt it, but it could be.

360 user base in Japan maybe... but not EU and certainly not US.
All three have a sustainable userbase that means their products will sell at lower prices for at least a few years after their successors kick off. People who are buying new consoles now, 6 years after the gen started, prove that.
Sure the big AAA games won't be launching on them, but many crappy multiports like sports games will and they all have a very large and by then cheap back catalog of games.
This is not like prev gens where there was one since ultra dominant device and others barely clinging for life. All three have sold remarkably well and will continue to do so as long as sales equate to profitable manufacturing. With continued pricing options and bundles, it will.
3DS and Vita are out... yet both DSi and PSP are still available and still selling pretty well.
Full of shit.
Only those 3 words were needed, just to be clear that's at vg247 source.

Full?? You sure about that? The masses aren't ready for that yet. Can you imagine downloading a freaking 50 GB or even more game?

The 360 would be 7 years old so fans cant complain MS abandoned it and it could still easily sell afterwards like the PS2 does now. And secondly you get a year head start on PS4. I thought MS actually had it all together until now. Releasing same holiday as PS4 is bad news, Japan alone will give Sony an early lead. |

But I can see it happening, maybe not in terms of at launch but eventually down the road probably around 2014-2015. They'll probably go with saying buy the older slimmer versions of our systems to play PS3/xbox360 games while enjoy the latest up to date games on PS4/Xbox720. |
I still think it will not happen just yet. It will be like Vita where all of it's game can be downlaoded on PSN/SEN or live. Not everyone has an uber fast connection. It will fail miserably and gamers still love their physical games.

The warm up till E3 will be soooo fun!
OT: Given how badly has Sony been keeping their secret projects secret, I find it hard to believe they have been able to keep the PS4 in the dark for 2 years, but who knows.
Please excuse my bad English.

3rd party support, non gaming apps with lower prices will allow 360 to remain selling, at least in NA. Your thinking core gamer support, I am thinking mass consumer support.

And so is the Last Guardian, maybe not even be an exclusive anymore....
