Double win. The 360 would be 7 years old so fans cant complain MS abandoned it and it could still easily sell afterwards like the PS2 does now. And secondly you get a year head start on PS4.

I thought MS actually had it all together until now. Releasing same holiday as PS4 is bad news, Japan alone will give Sony an early lead.

The user base for Xbox360 is far to small to be supported with new games when the heavy users switch to next gen. So xbox360 will be dead a few month after Xbox720 release, probably earlier. Same for PS3 and PS4.

3rd party support, non gaming apps with lower prices will allow 360 to remain selling, at least in NA. Your thinking core gamer support, I am thinking mass consumer support.
