Land of the Dead was pretty cool by Romero. A slightly new take on the zombie flick. Glad to see you got respect for Shaun of the Dead Mr Spurgeon.

I didn't know it had such success internationally. The states accounted for nearly half of the total takings.
Interesting lists but Wrath of the Titans is not in the top 20 biggest money losers based on actual loos anymore the movie has made $301,947,150 world wide based on the latest numbers from box office mojo that's more then enough money to cover its budget and some of its advertising. It should make a small profit with DVD/Blu-ray and on demand sales. The list also has the budget for The Alamo too low imdb has it at an estimated $95 million box office mojo has it at $107 million and Wikipedia has it at $145 million.
Also on the low budget list Birth of a Nation was actually the movie with the highest budget up to that point and it was also the longest movie to that point at 190 minutes. I have no idea what the average price to produce a movie was in 1915 but I guess it was less then $40,000 which was the original budget for Birth of a Nation. As for movie length a lot of movies during that time where still less then a hour long especially comedies. D.W. Griffith's next movie Intolerance shattered that budget cost with a estimated budget of $385,907 but since the actual cost of the movie is unknown their are estimates that it costs close to $2 million dollars to make. Their are also no accurate numbers on how much Intolerance made but its considered to be the biggest bomb of the silent movie era. Last years The Artist is the silent movie with the biggest budget of $15 million but the silent movie with the biggest budget that was made and released in the silent movie era is the 1925 version of Ben-Hur which had a budget of $3,967,000.
I watched Prometheus at the midnight launch, and I thought it was completely awesome
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
Where the FUK are the DVD chartz I was promised?
My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right
Seeing the amazing spiderman of tuesday. Then I'll probably see TDKR a few weeks after
I watched Melancholia last night and was relieved Kirsten Dunst kept all sharp objects away from her vagina(watch director Lars Von Trier's completely mental Antichrist to see what I'm going on about). It was an interesting take on the"end of the world" scenario but don't expect a cgi action heavy extravaganza.
Similar in tone to Tree of Life but that movie did have spectacular visuals (and along with Drive, best movie of 2011 for me).
I approve of this thread
Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.
Patiently waiting for: Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2
Just re-watched Back to the Future. Almost forgot how perfect the movie is. The dance scene between George and Lorraine still makes me shiver even now.
Eww Mad Max sucks! I've tried watching it twice and both times I was bored to tears and turned it off.
Oh and I watched Ted recently in theatre as well as Jackie Brown on DVD.
