You think that Super Mario 64 is a fake Super Mario game?

I should change my vote from you to myself in the Greatest User Tournament...

The evidence doesn't allow any other conclusion.

Super Mario Bros. was an NES game.

Right, and you are saying that the Super prefix comes from the games being on the SNES.  I will argue that the Super in the SNES name comes from the game Super Mario Bros.  I will also argue that the name Wii comes from the sound that an Italian plumber occasionally makes.

I said that the "Super" prefix holds true for Super Mario Kart (definitely) and Super Mario RPG (probably). A lot of games on the SNES had "Super" in their title, just like a lot of N64 games had "64" in their title.

I do not like the fact that you came into my serious thread to troll.

I'm not trolling.  I'm just pointing out a flaw in your argument.  Why did games on the NES have the name "Super" in them?  My point is that the word "Super" in Nintendo's games should not be limited to the SNES because a couple of such games actually preceded the SNES.

I thought it was almost a given that a game that has Mario being the main character means that 'Super' is put in front of Mario. Mario Galaxy sounds odd... it could just be that it sounds odd because I've only heard it being called 'Super' Mario Galaxy.

You also forgot about Super Paper Mario.

Who are you to say what a true super mario game? To me, the only true super mario game is Super Mario Sunshine and there is no way you can change my mind unless you pay me off or dance an irish jig...

I really disagree with your disposition that 3D Super Mario games are not real Super Mario games.

While 2D are simply more fun due to the platforming purity, 3D games have an amazing feeling about them. Mario, unlike untold number of other 2D greats, was capable of coming to 3D with thunderous applause. SM64 and the Galaxy twins are simply fantastic games that really defined their presentations and gameplay styles.

Sunshine was just a bad concept and more of a adventure that platforming game IMO. So maybe it can remain on the fake list.

However, the other three had the Super Mario essence and quality.

There is no flaw in my argument. Here is the reason why Super Mario Bros., the first game to be called "Super Mario", was called Super Mario Bros.:

This is from the manual of Super Mario Bros. and clearly shows that Mario must take/eat/touch a mushroom to transform into Super Mario. Without a mushroom, there is no Super Mario. Therefore games that are called "Super Mario" without featuring Super Mario are fake Super Mario games.

This would have been nice to know before posting.

I agree with what you are showing in the diagram, but that is not what you saying in the OP. You were saying something entirely different. I would quote the OP, but I'm pretty sure that anyone that's interested will take the time to go back to page one and read it.

What about Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I thought this was common knowledge.

Obviously it's not, your views on things are largely different than most people's. When you explain yourself, like you did with that diagram, your views/opinions make much more sense.
