There is a lot unfair about it. China is part of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The WTO is a voluntary organisation which promotes free trade. If you are a part of the WTO, you get access to resources in other countries which you might not otherwise have access to. China is effectively breaking one of the rules of the WTO, and limiting other people's access to some of their resources, while still getting everything that is promised to them in the WTO.

This old story. Do you know who was biggest miner for these minerals for long time: the USA. The mines get closed, not because they were empty, but because China mined them cheaper. Since then China increased mining of this things - but electronics industry who uses this growed faster. Now China has problems to mine enough for the big demand. But all around the world these minerals are available. But nobody mines them, because China does that cheaper. That's so incredibly stupid.
