Would you like to make a bet?

You either have no respect for your sig / avatar or a serious gambling problem.

Nah it's neither.  Khuutra just never likes to leave a bet off the table that he knows he has zero chance of losing.

There is actually usually a pretty strong demand for consoles after the release of the next gen console... espiecally at the right price.  I mean, I wouldn't be shocked if the PS2 has another 2-3 million left in it.  (If it's still being produced.)

That is... even if it gets to that.

The Wii has sold 2.2 Million, this year.  During the weak half of the year... and the Wii has been espeically holiday friendly... and the Wii U will be in short supply even if it does make it out before X-mas.

I just really relish controlling other people's avatars and signatures, like Kasz said.

"Assuming direct control"

-Khuutra, January 2013

"This hurts you"

-Ibid.

He's definitely going to win this one, even I think so (apparently my predictions for the Wii in my sig are too generous). He just seems to be jumping at every chance he can to make bets.

I will hit 110 mill for sure.. and up to 130 mill. i posible..

It's almost at 96 mill. that means close to 100 mill. THIS cristmas. And remember.. there is almost 1 billion wii games out there.. and old wii's will start to fail now.. meaning (some) people having many nintendo classic and other games.. bye a new one.. just like with ps2. (ps2 was under 100 mill when ps3 came.. and now it's over 150 mill)

But it is up to nintendo.. will there be new bundles.. mayby Galaxy 2, or zelda skyward.. or 5000 point included..

And remember.. last year at e3.. they talked about having 4 consoles on the marked.. each unik (and between the lines.. different prices)

You can't compare PSOne and PS2 numbers for the Wii and WiiU and you DEFINITELY can't post numbers about the DS and 3DS numbers, that makes no sense. They don't compare to the Wii at all, when the 3DS came out the DS was still selling very strong, the Wii is far from selling strong right now, as soon as Wii U get's an official release date expect Wii sales to get cut in half, and when the WiiU releases expect sales to be barely alive.

Again, you can't just ignore it entirely, because the Wii is being affected by its current price. Other "winning" systems had already dropped to $99 by this point in their lives, except the PS2, which was at $129. The Wii is still at $149. A price drop to $99 is likely to produce a significant boost to Wii sales in the short term, and then holiday sales of the system are likely to be strong as those whose interest the Wii U captures, but who can't afford a Wii U, will turn to the Wii as a cheap alternative.

Comparisons are fair enough. Only someone who is already biased against a system will assume that that system is already in its death throes, in this context. That reaching 100 million by end of the year isn't a given is a result of its weakness... but it can still manage it.

Has Nintendo done the gamer's bundle yet? Wii + game of choice for $119.00 would move units.
