Even if the paper was German, using the word 'foreign' is just plain wrong, because there must be quite a few German people here. I swear that as soon as I saw the title I knew this thread was made by spurgeonryan.

Ryan is one of those people that can't understand anything beyond the USA might exist. Even though a majority of people on this site are not American...

German is the official language of Austria, albeit slightly different dialects.   Sort of like American is the language of Canadia and the england.

Oh my goodness. I will just put newspaper then. Or German/Austrian based german language newspaper.

 

Also at night when the Americans are asleep the site dies. So...........

Well, just imagine me opening a thread called 'foreign newspaper says..." just open the thread an realise this foreign newspaper is based in the US. Because it would be foreign.

 

And the site doesn't die until night, you're right. Night in Europe, that is (American night=/=world night), when it's daytime in Asia, where we don't have many users. That'd be the small hours in foreign countries like the US.

 

Edit: my mistake, the small hours in Europe would be night in the US, but the point stands, once the American continent goes to sleep it's just Australasia awake.

I don't know why you are all so touchy about him saying "foreign" if Austria didn't want to be called foreign, they shouldn't have produced the most evil man to ever walk the face of the Earth.

Yes, I am speaking of Eduard Haas, inventor of Pez candy, and tyrant of the Pfefferminz, and expander of American Children's waste line. It wasn't enough that he spread his evil sugary pestulance across the German Lebensraum, after the fall of the Nazi Empire he moved his horrible despotic machine to New York City and targeted children with his dastardly treats. Austria will always be known as foreign to me, and my boy spurg, we're watching you Austria, we ARE WATCHING!
