Forums - General Discussion - Do you consider yourself superior to most other humans?

Do you?

Yes, I am superior some/most. 113 69.75%

No, I am equal to everyone. 49 30.25%

What do you mean "other" humans ? I simply consider myself superior to humans!

OT: actually i think what you are trying to describe is that you don't want to grant anyone the right to be smarter than you

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Sometimes I feel smarter than others, but only a little and in general. It won't make me look down on them.

Some other times, I will feel superior (as in title) and that's where things start moving into play. I start behaving arrogantly and challenge people so as to see their more intelligent side. Most times, this works and I get to see sides of those people I hadn't seen before (it kind of breaks the status quo).

At other times, though I've felt and was superior in one way, the other person I am comparing myself to will completely surprise me by their intelligence, but in a completely different way. Say, their ability to have insight on peoples' needs or how they're feeling or what they're thinking, and it makes perfect sense, while I was completely and totally oblivious to it.

The superiority attitude is double-edged from what I've noticed this far.

First of all im saying that i think everyone is equal and here is why

I like humans because they are different each in their own special way. Yeah we have society where everyone's a "sheep" but we have developed many brilliant things. It is my belief that in times of need people pull together not because they have to but because they want to, they forget even if it is just for a moment about their differences be that personality, lifestyle, race, background, intelligence etc and that is what i believe true humanity is. The ability to forget and work together.

That is why i believe no one man/woman is superior to another because deep down, despite our differences deep down maybe even on a primal level we are all the same and i dont think many people see that.

That's a real tear-maker right there.

Why thank you :D

Wait... does this mean im not human?

Haha, I misread the title. I thought it said 'Do you consider yourself human?'.

I do consider myself superior to others, but just in the things I excel at. Everyone is good at something, right?

Hard to say as i am not human. I am a cloud in the sky.

Well, I'm classed as amongst the top 3% of Brits in terms of mental capability..

Through what measure?

I dunno...through Scientific areas (Maths, Chemistry etc.)

And how exactly do you know that you're in the top 3%.

From doing examinations which confirm this (Senior Maths Challenge, UKMD (I think), IQ tests, exam results etc).

How else would you quantify this?

It is hard to rate a persons "superiorness" because there are a lot of factors. Though I believe I am more smarter.
