I dunno...through Scientific areas (Maths, Chemistry etc.)

And how exactly do you know that you're in the top 3%.

From doing examinations which confirm this (Senior Maths Challenge, UKMD (I think), IQ tests, exam results etc).

How else would you quantify this?
