Forums - Sales - Global Up! 25th February - Hardware, PSVita Over 500k!

Still don't trust these US numbers, I mean, if that includes Canada, then US is what <150k?

I really don't see how that's possible.

I mean, Japan opened with double that. And from what I saw, the sell through was supposedly good, so how many did they ship? 175k? My gamestop even had to get two shipments because they were already at 35 preorders. I just don't understand.

In a 1km radius from where I am, there are 80 people playing RIGHT NOW

160,499 for US... 12k for Canada.

seems pretty low on Canada... A country with 30-40M people only 12k... No way.

I'm not surprised by these Vita numbers in America. The local PlaynTrade has sold only 1 or 2 of them so far. I was the fourth person to even ask about the system. From what I've gathered, there are too many 3G models and not enough WiFi ones.

How are the US numbers so low for vita?? doesn't make sense

Gee, guys! It's not that low!
Remember week 0? So add that to the count and you get a nice first week of 250+

Even with 250k it's low.

USA is 3 times the size of Japan, and consoles sell at 3 to 1 in US compared to Japan. Yet the US opening is 15% less?

UK sold about 1.2 per every thousand people.

USA is like .8

Play N Trade is a relatively recent franchise of game stores in the US and Canada. From what I've gathered, they're mostly present in the American North-East and Ontario. Basically, think Gamestop with more retro stuff.
