Not too bad when you think about it. When the 3DS launched, the only competition it had was systems from the previous gen, which were more than 6 years old at that point. The Vita now has to compete against a current gen handheld, one that has already seen a massive drop to $169. Now, hopefully, the Vita won't drop to next to nothing in the coming weeks.

Better than expected, but highly frontloaded (as expected). Drop-off will be steeper than the DS line, even the 3DS, that's my prediction.

Looks like it might be lower, due to Sony releasing a statement about LTD being 1.2.

I took over before the Vita launched thank you very much! (All year I tried to beat Sh1nn as well.) Personally I don't see numbers being bad, not great either. 

So, with this new figure (1.2 LTD), since it sold more than 200k after launch week in japan and asia, this puts Vita first week below 1000k, right?

Around 850k, I did the math just because of the article. Assuming sell through ofcourse. If it is shipped data 1.2, well lets not get into that. 

1.2 million now put the first week for US and EU = 600-700k... VGC shows 680k... in line.
