So did the 3DS at first. If it weren't for Capcom and Ubisoft's offerings, the 3DS would have had nothing worth playing except for N64 remakes until last November. Not to mention how, other than Pushmo and some 3D classics, the eShop relies on 3rd party hits like Mutant Mudds and VVVVVV.

lol they don’t need their games to survive. They can just release a Mario game and all will be well

If the rumour is true it should cause a reasonable rise in PS Vita sales. At the same time it will be the third version of Monster Hunter Tri to exist. Kinda hard to judge how many people will buy it after it has been available for Wii and 3DS for so long. Not to mention if it's also on PSP then it's difficult to say if people would buy a new system for a slightly upgraded version.


Portable 3rd has nothing really to do with Tri you know, 3rd is actually a separate new entry in the series and is basically like Unite only it bases itself on the Tri incarnation of MH, it's not really a version of Tri. 3rd G would be an extended version of Portable 3rd much like Tri G is an extended version of Tri.

What are the differences between monster hunter 3rd and tri?

The Vita strategy will be judged as being pathetic if they do a huge pricecut within a Year of release, until then it's all good.

Yeah who needs 3rd party games? That's why the PS1 and PS2 did awful while Nintendo single handedly made the Gamecube a smashing success.

Too bad Sony can’t afford a price cut as they did not plan ahead. If they had sold it at a profit and then reduced it to a small loss it would be different but now if they do they will add loss over the already existing losses

3rd party is the sole reason Sony is in the gaming market.
