Probably the least anticipated FF ever in my book.

My favorite JRPG story this gen, well it's tied with 2 others(TWEWY, and DQ5).
But it's Legend of Heroes: Trails in the sky.

Ends with a "To Be continued in Chapter 2", and it's not looking like Xseed, is gonna bring that over.
Dreamfall (probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite story in a videogame) ends with a cliffhanger, that's probably never going to get a sequal.

In my mind atleast if you don't like the story, I'd think the cliffhanger ending would matter less as you don't really care what happened. And if you liked it, you might look forward to another game.

That's my logic anyways. >_<

These reviewers go on hype, since ppl love to hate FF nowadays they just figured, hey lets give it a low score. Have you guys read the IGN review, its basicaly a page full of praise for the game to give it an 8 in the end, not saying 8 isnt good, its just totaly senseless after you read the review that it only got an 8.

Btw as of right now the game has a metascore of 80, and the review on the OP is just a troll review, like the one from Destructoid for FF XIII was (the one that gave it a 4).

Really? I thought it sold quite well.

Also, give Xenoblade Chronicles a try. I'm only a few hours in so far but I'm hooked.

In regards to the IGN review, just because you praise something does not mean you deem it to be incredible. They made it pretty clear why it  got an 8. The story is poor, the battle system is fun but too easy, the graphics are pretty but showing signs of age but otherwise its a great experience.

The hate FF gets nowadays is the fault of Square Enix. They abuse the franchise, stop making all of these average sequels and spin offs which only go on to dilute the image of the main series.

You know what I love about this review? He says "right in the middle" and actually gives it a 5/10 instead of a 7.5 or 8/10 like most other reviewers and sites would... It seems to be an established fact this gen that "average" is anything below a 9.

As for the game itself; I think I'll steer clear of this one, FFXIII was really not my cup of tea at all.

seems IGN agree with this review a fair bit, although they gave it an 8, I'll still buy the game, I liked FF13 :P
