I think ps4 would be more powerful but the gap between xbox 720 and ps4 would be so small, its negligible.

PS4 because I think it will release ~6 - ~12 months later.

I don't see it being way more powerful though, they'll want to keep the price down as much as they can while still being able to compete.

It's not going to win them more marketshare though I think, next-gen will be about features and brand recognition.

Either PS4 because I think it will launch later or indeed Nextbox because Sony doesn't want to create another expensive system.

The best selling console of the last 3 generations has always been one of the weakest, if not THE weakest. I think SONY will pick up on this and go the same route as the PS1 again, I'm guessing the PS4 will be marginally less powerful than the Next Box. While the PS Vita is significantly more powerful than the 3DS, they still toned down the hardware and made sure it launched at an affordable price point. They will probably do the same with the PS4.

It'll be the ps4, release date being the major actor, in fact it could be the same as this gen. Ps3/ps4 being slightly more powerful but the extra power being basically useless.

Sony has been sticking with their differentiation strategy, so I think the PS4.
