I remember trying to keep up with the Dragon Ball Z series on VHS. Each cassette only had about two or three episodes. The show was coming on Cartoon Network (all hail the mighty Toonami!) and the episodes would come out on VHS before they aired on TV. I had no patience so I kept buying. Then, it got to a point where I'd buy a VHS tape and absolutely nothing would change between the start of the the first episode and the end of the last episode (How the hell can you fight for 90 minutes on a planet that explodes in 5 minutes ans still not have a conclusion!?). I finally gave up on buying them.

LOL that is awful, i have a couple of DBZ tapes. One of them has probably 2 episodes but the show was extremely slow in the story. I have tried rewatching it but it is a hard thing to do.

An 8GB microSD card can store at least 8hrs of MUCH higher quality video than VHS.

There is an inexpensive digital video player made by a company called Micca.  It's only $28US and plays most popular video formats on any TV off of SD cards and usb flash/ext hard drives.  On an old CRT set, the average quality divx avi is indistinguishable from digital cable.

But I digress.

The last thing I watched on VHS was Babylon 5

Have not the slightest idea, VHS just sounds like a caveman utensil to me now.

Can't recall whether it was Bugs Life or one of the Land Before Time videos, with the kids of course.

It always comes back to the Land before time movies or Shrek. They seem to be the most popular VHS movies on this thread.

Yep, Yep, Yep!

Most recent VHS tapes I've watched... now THAT had me scratching my head for awhile lol.  Actually, most recently it was not even a couple of years ago... my dad always taped his Jets games on old VHS tapes on the TV in the back room until this past year when we finaly got a DVR box, and the last one I watched was when the Jets came back and beat the Texans last season (we actually left near the end of the game when the Jets were losing, and missed seeing that epic comeback in person.  Such is life)

As for actual movies, just a handful old movies from the 80s that aren't available on DVD that I've watched in recent years, like these...

God I love that movie, I used to have it taped off of Disney Channel from the late 80s but I watched it so much I wore the tape out, and I managed to track down a new VHS copy back in the early days of Amazon.  And also...

Another classic that you can only find on VHS (or bootlegged DVD).

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
