Forums - Website Topics - How You Came To Sign Up To VGChartz

I discovered this site because of my interest in game sales data. I signed up because sometimes I wanted to post, and I like the PS Vita discussion here. Everywhere else the ps vita discussion is either non-existent, a fanboi site or a very vita hating site.

Well... This popped back up, didn't it?

Any who, I joined because of a video on YT talking about Operation Rainfall. He mentioned sales data in the video of other JRPG titles and cited VGC for where he got these sales. I clicked on the link and boom! I lost my sole that very day.

21/12/12. Also, I found the site randomly 1-2yrs ago, never visited it much though. Then I had lots of free time during my job and remembered it. ~2 Weeks after tbone I finally joined to build a newbie team with him. Date also was perfect^^

After Operation Rainfall, I wanted to see if Xenoblade sold well, and looked it up on google. The links to Vgchartz brought me here and I've been a lurker for some months looking at sales data. I began to look at the forums not too long after that and what really compelled me to join was Smeags' Top 50 discussions thread where everyone was just excited to talk about the games they truly loved.

I almost hesitated because of all the hatred between the factions, but I felt that in the long run, it would be better for me to know more people knowledgeable on the gaming front and more experienced. I won't try to stir up hate so please don't think I'm trying to when asking questions lol.

In short-the appeal of the community and the sophistication of some of the discussions.

Woah, cool!

Don't remember...I was lurking 8-10 months before sign up...but I remember searching for something and got a link to a forum post from google

I was interested in console sales and kept checking out the wikipedia article about them. After a while I noticed that people kept messing with the numbers and that updates overall were very infrequent, so I google searched "video game console sales", and this site popped up.

At first I visited about once a week, but the forums slowly became more and more interesting the more I checked them out. About six months after that, I finally decided to sign up... :P
