Guys, this definitely isn't Resident Evil 6.

It's a survival horror game involving zombies called either the Last of Us or Until Dawn (depending on if the former is just a slogan for the latter), as Sony have trademarked both titles. Or maybe both are potential titles for the same game.

It's probably developed by either Sony Santa Monica or a third party developer, with Sony publishing either way. For example, it could be Ready at Dawn's new IP.

Honestly, given the game is supposedly "mind blowing", as are the graphics, it's probably Sony Santa Monica. You can't sell a zombie game as mind blowing in the current industry without some serious pedigree behind it, and only a handful of teams have the talent to make a ps3 game look mind blowing, all of which are owned by Sony. Plus, we haven't heard a peep out of Santa Monica since God of War III came out 1.5 years ago. It's time for them to reveal their next project.

99% chance that you're gonna be right.

Until Saturday though, we have no idea. The way it's being hyped up just makes me (And others, it would seem) think that it can't be a new IP. Not unless it's a major 3rd party working with Sony on it.

My money is on Santa Monica making a new zombie related ip called the last of us for...

PS4!

Dammit I guess I have to follow whats going on now since I'm getting PS3 in a weekish...

Edit:

And it's definitely not that move game.  Keighly was going on about how amazed he was that nothing about this game has leaked.  A five second clip in a montage from over a year ago would certainly fly in the face of everything he's said.

Plus, that game looked like something more like Cursed Mountain than a zombie survival game.

This is far more likely than an exclusive Resident Evil.

I have full faith in Santa Monica, and it's good that they're trying something new.

They have youtube channel that was created 4 months before PS3 release ( 12 July 2006). So the game must have been in development for a long time.

This is supposed to be a mindblowing exclusive reveal, and Resident Evil 6 can't really be described as mind-blowing. It IS probably RE6 with a healthy dose of exaggeration, but I want to believe it's something more exciting than that.

Well the surprise would come from the fact that it's exclusive.

I mean although Resident Evil 6 is my guess, I can't seem to process what kind of crazy idea that would be as we've seen how well RE5 did on the 360. That's a huge market that would be dumped.

Lovely hat for a day at the races.

If it is RE6 then it won't be exclusive, but it might have some exclusive Move content that perhaps is a significant advance on RE5 Gold Ed. E.g. melee combat with baseball bat, pipes etc working a bit like glariator battle in Sports Champs. Would be pretty frantic with the zombies comin' atcha. Would also have to be DLC, because MS won't allow PS3 disc to have content that 360 does not.

hmm. Move game? =/

*excitement drops at an incredible rate*

Highly unlikely Geoff Keighly would be hyping some shovelware.

It could be Move-compatible but I don't see it being Move-exclusive.

No, a proper Move game would actually be very surprising. Just because you haven't seen a great Move exclusive, doesn't mean you will never see it.

Sports Champions is great. It's not awesome, or fantastic or GOTY, but it's a great game.

That's as much as I can get.

Sounds like Resistance with a different enemy.
