Uncharted 2 wins thanks to better pacing, setpieces, and polish.

probably uncharted 2: I found it to be a more enjoyable experience than uncharted 3. however, uncharted 3 had almost unassailable expectations which inevitably meant people were going to be let down. I still think ND are superb developers although I think their ambition outstripped what was feasibly possible, hence some of the set pieces were downsized in scope to fit the release date.

Shane pretty much reads my mind. I LOVE Uncharted 2, but in all seriousness: I completely agree with him.

Jeff tries to defend Uncharted 2, but Geoff jumps at him saying how they essientally did the same thing in UC3.

Pachter loved 3 aswell.

A largeee majority of critics really loved this game. Jeff makes good and valid points but after what Shane said, its like.. (FOR ME atleast), I kept saying: No bro.. just no Jeff xD.

On another topic:

Does anyone want to make a bet by the way?

I want to bet, for sig control in 3 MONTHS!:
I say that GameTrailers will give GOTY to Uncharted 3 and Spike @the VGAs will give it to Skyrim.

^All you have to do is bet that someother game will get it on either Spike or GT. If I am wrong on either one, you win xD.

Uncharted 1 jacked me off
Uncharted 2 gave me head (a VERY good head I might add)
Uncharted 3 allowed me to put it in.

UC4 ANAL?

I.......I'm not entirely sure you're using these games the way the developer intended.

I voted UC3. UC2 had a better, longer story and pacing was much better. UC3 had better set-pieces and MP, especially the co-op modes. Story was not as good however - the inconsistencies such as the bad guys letting Drake escape multiple times, and Drake barely surviving one moment, killing bad guys the next. Still, on the whole, I thought UC3 was better.

There's lots of small improvements U3 made over U2, but there's something about U2 I just like better.

I think the sacrificing of AA for wha I can only assume is 3D output I think was a mistake. I find teh jaggies to be rather a distraction and a backwards step in the visual department. So while there's graphics improvements in some departments the return of teh jaggies pretty much negates those improvements.

There are certain elements to U3's story that I just didn't think was as good. I found it vaguely mysoginistic how Drake "defeated" Marlow. There was something slightly anti-climactic about the final chapters. Almost like they ran out of ideas and finished the game in a rush. But I liked some elements of the story, and I liked how the supernatural aspect was mind tricks not actual monsters.

Split screen Co-op is very welcome.

So in some ways U3 is improved over U2 and in otherways it's gone backwards or is just not as good. I score them equally but for me the edge goes to U2.

While I loved Uncharted 3 and I got the platinum for it I have to give the edge to Uncharted 2.

1. Had more challenging and memorable levels IMHO.
2. Shooting mechanics were better although the ones in U3 were ok too.
3. Villain was way more bad ass and the story more interesting.
4. I appreciated the fact that I was rewarded with many more unlockables in U2 after completing crushing mode.
5. Uncharted 3 Crushing was not challenging enough.

Just doesn't get better than doughnut drake with unlimited ammo. I just don't get why we were not given the same or similar extras for U3.

For the above reasons mostly but some other ones as well I give Uncharted 2 the slight edge.

I just finished Uncharted 3. Haven't played the multiplayer modes yet, but that's not what interests me most of Uncharted so I'm gonna comment on my SP experience.

Like others have said, it's practically Uncharted 3= Uncharted 2. It's difficult to put one above the other.

In Uncharted 2's favour: It was more of a surprise than Uncharted 3. I think having so much information of U3 also may have spoiled the experience a bit, since I knew the main set pieces. Also, I miss having medals and unlockable extras like slow motion, etc in U3. Why didn't they have that? It was so easy to implement (I'm sure they didn't have to reprogram much, if anything) and yet they didn't for some reason. And it took me 12h to beat U2 but only 10h to beat U3.

In U3's favour, there were some really great set pieces that I thought were even better than those in U2. Some new gameplay additions like melee fights, being able to throw grenades back, shooting while climbing, chases... were nice. The graphics were noticeably better than those in U2 at times, just amazing. The animations were also much better. I like that they gave the characters a bit more depth. The puzzles were much better than those in U2. I think the musical score is also better.

So yeah, U2 SP=U3 SP imo. Which is not necessarily bad as U2 was amazing and hard to beat and had the surprise factor that U3 didn't.

So just cause UC2 had the surpirse factor and 2 more hours of singleplayer you make it a tie. Despite Uncharted 3 looked viusally better, gameplay mechanics have improved by a mile, puzzels and music was much better (all in your opinion) you gave it a tie?!? Anyways the MP in UC2 isn't that great but UC3 its the best one I and many others on this site have ever played. You should really check it out
