There's lots of small improvements U3 made over U2, but there's something about U2 I just like better.

I think the sacrificing of AA for wha I can only assume is 3D output I think was a mistake. I find teh jaggies to be rather a distraction and a backwards step in the visual department. So while there's graphics improvements in some departments the return of teh jaggies pretty much negates those improvements.

There are certain elements to U3's story that I just didn't think was as good. I found it vaguely mysoginistic how Drake "defeated" Marlow. There was something slightly anti-climactic about the final chapters. Almost like they ran out of ideas and finished the game in a rush. But I liked some elements of the story, and I liked how the supernatural aspect was mind tricks not actual monsters.

Split screen Co-op is very welcome.

So in some ways U3 is improved over U2 and in otherways it's gone backwards or is just not as good. I score them equally but for me the edge goes to U2.
