As usual, also about games letting you ride a dragon, PC came first:

8 years before Lair.

Skyrim = Dragonborn , you are born with the blood of a dragon
Lair = Dragonporn , you ride a dragon

pick your poison.

That is, both are Dragonporn, but in Skyrim's case it was your mom that did porn with dragons.

Lair -> quit because of bad mission design and lack of check points
Skyrim -> currently nearly unplayable with 10mb save file (I'm glad to get more then 5fps now outside)
Drakan -> Awesome, completed without major problems.

The dragons in Skyrim so far have been nothing more then giant flying rats. Not very awesome, too common and easy to take down. Maybe it gets better in the main story but climbing the mountain at 5fps is not something I look forward too. Hurry up with that patch so I can start the main story.

I would promote this man to president of PR if I were Sony. He did a hell of a job bringing attention back to a 5 year old game, not to mention some free press for Skyrim. If you asked me, I think both games sucks. Dark souls all the way!!!!!!!!

You know, I actually quite wanted a dragon riding mod for Skyrim, but then you had to go and bring up Lair and ruin everything.

I don't agree with the bolded. Most of the missions were straight fighting, some less soo. No environments were bad, while some were awesome.

And there's no problem with scarce checkpoints in a air fighting simulator IMHO.

Drakan, Awesome, but as a Dragon simulator I like Lair better.

Confirmed: Lair is the first game with dragons in it.
