I'm against watered-down games. For a full gaming experience I prefer PS3.

PS3
Better controller
Reliable and free online
Higher quality exclusives IMO!
Don't take that the wrong way though. I still love my 360 and still slightly fond of my Wii.
PlayStation 3
1. Nowadays it has better exclusives as MS has focused to Kinect which doesn't appeal to me at all (multiplats I usually buy for PC)
2. Free online gaming
3. I use media streaming from PC a lot
4. Blu-ray
5. The machine itself is better build. Runs cooler and is more quiet ( Both of my consoles are fat models).
Don't own Wii.

I think it's important to seperate the system itself from the games in this situation.
I mean, I have all three consoles (fat PS3, slim 360), and the 360 is far and away my favorite system. It just feels so incredibly well designed, everything comes together really well, and Microsoft are really putting their users first.
The PS3 feels so... dead, I guess you could say, in comparison. The XMB just doesn't give the same sense of comfort you get on the 360. Your friends are all just names on a list, and even though the PS3 does a lot of different things, it never really comes together into a cohesive whole.
The Wii is a mixed bag. I like how Miis are used (though the avatars of the 360 are more my kind of thing in some ways), but the system itself feels a bit like the PS3, in that it never comes alive as it ought to.
As far as games go, the PS3 has the edge, but I often find myself wishing I could have played a PS3 game on the 360. So in the end, I have to go with the 360.
I have to go with the 360,
to be fair though, I haven't really spent enough time with the PS3 to be completely objective.
But I can say I'm more of an online vs. player than an RPG/Single player kinda guy... so xbox live definitely gets my vote there because of the overall integration and feature set MS has built into the network. I don't mind paying the $60 bucks a year... at all.
The controller. Compared to it's counterpart with the PS3, which isn't much different from the original PS controller which I spent a lot of time with, I think MS's design is far more comfortable and intuitive to play with.
Halo. I got addicted to online gaming with the Dreamcast and Unreal Tournament. Halo just seem to be the natural evolution of that style and from what I can tell, PS3 still doesn't have 'their' Halo. A lot of great online shooters, but really nothing like the user/community experience that Bungie developed with Halo.
