One word: Skyrim

I'm the compete opposite. I don't really like realistic military shooters like BF, COD, Medal of Honor, Rainbow Six etc.(except COD4). I perfer arcady shooters because I just find them a lot more interesting and fun. It seems there is just a lot more camping in the games I mentioned above, which makes it a lot less enjoyable. |
Yeah that is true man, camping is a huge issue in games like CoD and Battlefield. Halo is great because camping is pointless, you just get owned if you try to chill in a corner. Some guy will just run up and own you with a few quick headshots.
I really just don't like the high health of Gears because I feel like I put about 20 shots into a guy then he can just roll off out of sight/behind cover for a few seconds and he comes back out good as new. In a game like CoD if I see a guy all I need to do is tag him with 3-5 good shots and he's done, Rainbow Six is even more intense, its like 2-3 shots and a guy is done.

So true man.
To be honest though I'll be more excited for the next Fallout (built on the Skyrim engine) than I am for Skyrim itself. That's just me though.

I get it. With Gears of war it's either a love or hate relationship. I never got into Gears 1 online because I joined in way to late and sucked bad. When Gears 2 came out it just clicked; I don't know why, but it did. Gears of war is not one of those games you can jump into and expect to own. It takes practice and you almost need to play religiously to be very good. Yes, it takes a bit to kill someone in Gears if you use a lancer(easier in Gears 3), but the main weapon in Gears is the nasher shotgun, which only takes one good shot to kill someone.

Yeah I agree with that man. Gears definitely takes more skill to be good than a game like Call of Duty. Almost anyone with shooter experience can pick up Call of Duty and do at least decently, but I'm bad at gears even with being pretty good at shooters.

COD is far from realistic, but I get what you're saying.
