I find it quite funny as some people try to find reasons to fill their plain hate for Apple products.

| Rainbird said: If you're going to be previewing and reviewing smartphone games, then an iPhone is definitely the phone to pick. Whether iPhone 5 will have a lot of exclusives and what not, I don't know. I can't imagine Apple doing something so different that developers would prefer making exclusive games for that one model, but that's just me. |
Yah I was talking with developers at PAX about launching my site and it came up plenty of times that I lack an I-Phone. I was told by one developer that he wouldn't even consider talking to me till I had an I-Phone. I told him I would buy an I-Phone as soon as I got home but he then told me that his studio was going to create new games for I-Phone 5 and the new iOS. He was like if you want to get us onboard with your website you need an I-Phone 5.
Personally I've never owned a smart phone and am not the biggest Apple fan so I haven't followed iOS to the degree I probably should have. Being a tech nerd its sorta embarrasing to admit that I haven't been following Apple. Apple dissapointed me years ago and I haven't boughten an Apple product since. Though my friends tell me that Apple has improved its products immensly since I had my issues.
I just want to make sure that when I launch my site and I contact the developers I met at PAX that I have everything I need. Apparently an I-Phone is a must for game journalists.

The iPhone 4 is a high quality phone, and you shouldn't really worry about any issues, because they're pretty minimal, functionaly at least.
If you think another phone could do just as well, I would at least read up on what's good and bad about various phones you might be interested in. User interface can be important, because many of these phones will do most of the same things.
But again, if you want the phone with the most games, iPhone is the one. By my guess, the developer you talked to simply wanted to create some hype around their next project(s), to garner some sales hopefully. But at least you won't have to wait very long to hear about the iPhone 5 (october 4th), so yeah.
My old and aging but perfectly fine 3G is due for replacement as it is nearing 3 years age. Also my contract is up next march. So i will be picking either Android Samsung/Nexus or Iphone 5 or 4S whatever it turns out to be.
I may get the 5 with sprint if they get it this year. AT&T is hard to deal with.
I'm gonna wait and see, but whatever I decide, it most likely won't involve AT&T. I hate them so much.......

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
With The iphone5 event on the Oct4th it will interesting to see it finally.

Two more days to go. I use my phone mostly for texting and web surfing and even the crappiest of phones these days do that job i think. The 3G i have is almost 3 years old and has done really well in terms of battery life and the body itself holding up after falling down over 100's of times.
I have recently got back to reading again and i read on the iphone but i think i may just get a base iphone and get a kindle on the side. Although i don't mind reading on the iphone too. So will wait and see.
I know no one wants to read about what i feel but just felt like sharing. :)
