I'll buy a new phone, but I don't think it will be Iphone 5. I'll have a look but I pretty much know what to expect really. I am much more excited for Nexus Prime.

The 3G i have is almost 3 years old and has done really well in terms of battery life and the body itself holding up after falling down over 100's of times. I have recently got back to reading again and i read on the iphone but i think i may just get a base iphone and get a kindle on the side. Although i don't mind reading on the iphone too. So will wait and see. I know no one wants to read about what i feel but just felt like sharing. :) |
I am happy hat I am not the only ownwr of the 3G left^^
but time for new iphone now^^

It's really sad to see the human intelligence fading away just because Apple's propaganda works so good. I know somebody who's getting every iphone...every year again. He bought the first one, sold it next year to get iphone 2, sold it again to get iphone 3...sold it again to get a 3GS. Well, now he plans to get the 5, selling is iphone 4. All his phones were completely fine. It speaks against every logic, but when Apple comes into play, the brain just shuts off for some people.

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Or maybe he's smart? Apple products usually keep their values well, so reselling your iPhone every year to buy a new model, can mean you get a relatively cheap upgrade (by smartphone standards anyway).
i own a SGS and i think i will not change unless is really necessary... even the SGS II (that is awesome by the way) isn't in my horizon for now. i think i will wait for a 4g/3d model from samsung or from sony ericson but always with android SO.

No, he is definitely dumb, considering the phones worked just fine. Why change if it's running flawless? I could understand if he upgrades from 3 to 5, or from 2 to 4, but every year? Waste of money.

Was it flawless though? I haven't used any iPhone a lot, but I do know that none of them have been perfect, or indeed flawless, so far. If he's got the cash and wishes to use a better device, why not upgrade?
I'll admit I don't know your friend, and he could very well be dumb as a door, I just think it's silly to say it's dumb to get a new phone a year.
Not even one bit. Others are welcome to it though, but I'll rather spend my money on games, PC upgrades and other things than an expensive phone.

Then let me use another example: Imagine you just bought a Phat PS3, running just fine, shiny without scratches. Now the Slim PS3 is released. Would you sell your Phat PS3 just to buy the Slim PS3? And some iphones certainly have lesser upgrade features.
I do see we have a different perspective on this one, and I can understand your point, but I don't agree with it.

I love my iPhone 4 and I'm sure the iPhone 5 will be great but I can't wait to get rid of my iPhone and can't suggest anyone that doesn't already have an iPhone and doesn't use iTunes to get one.
Why?
Because if you have an iPhone, you are then tied to iTunes. It's by far the worst media management program out there and is just a plain dreadful user experience. It's bad enough if you use only one computer but if you want to listen to music on multiple computers, it's just hopeless.
If iTunes wasn't such a waste I would love to suggest the iPhone to more people, but until then, nobody who isn't already tied down by iTunes should get an iPhone.
