Its crazy seeing people get defensive even over comments made by the developers of the game they are defending... People need to stop having such a huge ego and realize their opinions on things are meaningless in the big picture. It doesn't matter if you think halo and gears of war suck. They are very very successful franchises and so sony attempted to emulate them with their first party titles uncharted and killzone, and with uncharted they have come quite close in terms of commercial success,which is all they really care about.
Just like even though I think gran turismo is very overrated I can admit that without it forza would likely not even exist today.
The Uncharted series is one of the best around, it may not be entirely original but the gameplay has emerged as one of the most engaging experiences I have had in gaming. If Xbox shooters shaped Uncharted (don't know how) then it worked, clearly.

I agree, people should not get defensive on small and obvious things like this. It removes nothing to Uncharted success and quality. With that said, beside one user, there isnt much defensive comments here yet.

Actually, Gears of War deserves no credit. kill.switch does.
OT: This is very, very disappointing from Sony, even though I like Uncharted.
