How do you people always know the figures before box office mojo post them?

Unofficial estimates ,which are very close to actuals.

Some people there are saying it may not be The Hunger Games

They are in major shock mode, these people expected 200m + OW for it...they are trying to downplay it now so that it can outmatch their new "low" expectations.

Slightly better legs then The Avengers so far can't wait for today's numbers the rest of the weeks numbers and the second weekend numbers.

Only problem - The Avengers came out before the summer break.

I don't know about better legs. Im actually more focused on comparing with TDK. Even though it debuted higher than TDK, it's now actually trailing TDK. In fact, each day that has passed, it had trailed it more and more. Which is not really a good thing.

Better legs? where?

You can't compare a movie in the summer break  to one in may, by just looking at weekdays. Just look at TDK vs. Avengers, the slightly better weekdays from TDK are nothing compared to the huge Avengers weekends.

The Avengers had two incredible weekends and then it fell off pretty fast the records for best third to twelfth weekend are held by two movies Avatar and Titanic.

Some people are saying that TDKR is a more week-end movie than TDK , so that could mean better weekend holds. We'll see on Friday.

I'm hoping for a 10-15% drop for today...that would show signs of legs etc.

Either way nothing can stop this from becoming the biggest end of trilogy grosser ever.

Not adjusted of course, Return OF Jedi completely owns that spot with its mind boggling $744 Million adjusted.

But non-adjusted is a big feat in itself & it's a record TDKR will hold for a long long long time, possibly till Avengers 3.

Edit: till avatar 3 lol
