Awesome! Sounds like everything I'm hoping for it to be!

well looking at the reviews i've seen so far on every kinect games I'm convinced that 1 lots of people don't know how to set it up for the best gaming conditions and second some have terrible learning skills on how to use the controls in kinect.... I haven't seen any of the kinect game I bought having major control issues if you take the time to understand how exactly the control works... and the timing you need.... ( i have fruit ninja, child of eden, kinect sport, kinect adventure, you shape, played dance central a lot and all the demo out there....) I'm sorry but if you mash buttons in an action game like DMC dante's inferno or other games you never get pass the middle of the game... you have to learn the combos the subtility of the counter etc.... so far in the same way every kinect game I played are easy and accurate to control when you actually take the time to understand how to move to control it.... yeah it doesn't react exactly to what you WANT to, but no game out there does it... so why should kinect ???? I mean it's not because you want to move that way to do something.... that it is meant to be like that and that it is not well done....

IGN 40

The ironic thing about Rise of Nightmares is that the control scheme is so basic it comes off feeling like a game for kids, when it tries so damn hard not to be. Even if you like the novelty of chopping off undead heads longer than I did, a bad horror game is a bad horror game. And Rise of Nightmares is a monster.

Horrible review imo. It seems the guys biggest criticism is how the game isn't scary. Has he even seen any of the trailers?

I will never understand how IGN can give Sonic Free Riders a 7.5, which is by far one of THE worst games I have ever played, let alone kinect games. Atleast this game is playable and fun.

well it was a given than reviewer for the core will found something wrong with it.... they have to it's a kinect game......
I don't know about 7 for sonic free rider, but I didn't have any control issues on the demo, I'm pawning the CPU like it's nobody's business.... I was planning to get it when the price drops on the used market.... is it really that bad....

The Sonic free riders game is bad. The demo makes the game seem actually decent, but when my nephew got the game we could barely get past the tutorial. There was this one part where you had to jump over some laser. It took my nephew and I about 30 minutes to finally do it. From what I remember you couldn't skip the tutorials, could be wrong though. My nephew stopped playing the game about a week later, that is when you know the game is bad.

Well I think I'll take MrStickball's word over IGN. I'm about to head over to Gamestop in a few minutes and buy it.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I had to go to three seperate stores to get the game. Bestbuy and walmart by me were sold out. I haven't played a whole lot yet but so far it is pretty good. I like the controls and beating up zombies is fun:)

It's sitting on my shelf, just waiting for me to get a Kinect... somebody start selling that Child of Eden bundle so I can start playing!
