I'm going smooth hacker myself, though just go for the kills when faced with enemies.

Well I was wondering how much you can just rely on hacking. I was thinking of focusing on social to some degree, but it does seem that stealth is in most cases the best option...

It seems a lot like the old Deus Ex, where hacking combines pretty well with stealth, so you can sneak into the opponents security and turn their defenses on them.

Social.... ehhhh..... I'm using it, and it seems ok but really feels like it's mostly common sense getting using the right conversation trees.

I just like hacking for all the little exp you get for hacking every single terminal you can find.

I have no idea how far I am through the game at this point (I'm like 18 hours in?) but I only have a tranq rifle, a stun gun, and a badass 10mm that murders anything if I feel like someone needs to get shot quickly. Also, apparently you can head shot with the tranqs.

Well not stealthy that is for sure. I even play games like Metal Gear Solid/Splinter cell not stealthy =p.

I started with the tranq rifle... it's size and hard to find ammo annoyed me though, didn't want to buy any.  Right now I've got a 10MM, a Laser Sighted Machine Pistol and for close quarters an amped up Shotgun.

I haven't gotten as far as you but I gotta admit i've been impressed so far with how true to the originals it was.  As opposed to say, fallout or no doubt X-Com.

I'm even more encouraged by the fact that there is apparently like over 18 hours worth of gameplay.

Well I have only done the first mission... so I have plenty of time to decide, all I have got so far is an upgraded radar, social upgrade and larger inventory.

As I chose lethal in the first mission, I have no stun gun which is what I want, which semi-rules out stealth, as I am quite awful at it, but thanks to DLC a nice collection of guns to get me out of trouble if I need it (though it would be great if I had some sort of locker to leave some of the weapons in

I don't udnerstand why people run out of ammo so much. I have a comfortable supply of around 17 tranq darts, 25 stun cartridges, and around 140 10mm rounds (They take up SO much friken space).

Also, this game just has smaller hubs and levels in general once you sit down and look at the map. I am glad what they did with hacking, but they removed lockpicking and, most importanly, being abel to blow the doors down instead of jsut staring at them and hoping for the best. It's pretty friken awesome, but it's still more restricting than the first one. Which is sad cause it's been 11 years and you'd think we'd have some seriously awesome ways to incorporate new tech into making fare more options, not less.

Well, I'm on the second or third mission and I've already blown the whole non-lethal thing. I decided that sometimes a girl just has to stab someone in the face with a cybernetic arm blade. Plus, I now have a sweet upgraded 10mm with laser sight and silencer and a sniper rifle, plus the stun gun for up-close instant takedowns without using up energy. Would love to get my hands on a crossbow though!

I have got a tranquilizer rifle for long range silenced kills which is okay, I don't really need the crossbow

As for hacking, I can't be the only one who can't find the terminals to hack in the first place, as you need to be pretty good at stealth to get there

I have found out that the stun gun is the most overpowered weapon in this game. It shuts down robots (at least the small ones), disables others, and stuns bosses for a pretty long time.
