I hope you're not talking about me because I have nothing against DLC in principle. GTA IV is DLC done right. Street Fighter, Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty is my problem. Having to pay for additional characters in a fighting game is not developing new gameplay afterwards, like GTA IV. Anyone willing to believe the additional characters on fighting games are being worked on ADTER the game is released are extremely naive. |
That is totally wrong. Adding additional characters IS adding gameplay. Having to balance the character and having a brand new character pure gameplay for a fighting game. I would much rather characters then more campaign for fighting games.

Very nice I would love for them to add like new smash bros characters. Or say maybe new mario levels ahhhh.

How could they have demos, though? We're talking about ~280 MB of on-board NAND (512 altogether, but firmware and the embedded channels already occupy a chunk of that space from the getgo. I did the math at one point long ago to arrive at that number), it would be hard to pare a demo down to that size for most games, though others could have been more easily developed.
3DS was bound to have a demo for Megaman Legends 3, before...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Fighting games where you pay for extra characters suck. Pure and simple. The devs will be holding back from releasing the game with some characters just so they can make a bit more money later on.
It's another example of DLC done wrong.
