And the circle is complete...

Not yet, they still need to charge for online.

Convince Sony to the same first ;)

Hahahahaha, you don't think they will already next gen?

Unfortunately :( .  But then again, I wouldn't want them to struggle against MS needlessly.  Dammit Bill Gates... lol.

Imagine downloadable characters for Super Smash Bros. It would be pretty epic.

No it wouldn't. I'd rather see these characters be in the game from the start like Nintendo does now.

They have to stop adding characters at some point if they want to release the game. They simply have to keep a small team who will make new characters as time goes by. It's wrong to assume that a game is incomplete because of DLC.

No Boutros, THEY'RE STEALING THE MONIEZ OFF PEOPLE.

God I wish people would think before they post, not all DLC is like that (probably just capcom stuff)

Look at GTA IV ...

Whoever said it WOULD be in the game, it just wouldn't exist.

I hope you're not talking about me because I have nothing against DLC in principle. GTA IV is DLC done right. Street Fighter, Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty is my problem. Having to pay for additional characters in a fighting game is not developing new gameplay afterwards, like GTA IV. Anyone willing to believe the additional characters on fighting games are being worked on ADTER the game is released are extremely naive.

That is totally wrong. Adding additional characters IS adding gameplay. Having to balance the character and having a brand new character pure gameplay for a fighting game. I would much rather characters then more campaign for fighting games.

...?

Fighting games where you pay for extra characters suck. Pure and simple. The devs will be holding back from releasing  the game with some characters just so they can make a bit more money later on.

It's another example of DLC done wrong.

I never thought that we'd agree on something.

Ha.

Thats just not the way i feel about it. Taking Brawl for example i just played the game so much that i got bored of all the characters. Seriously i mastered like 8-9 of them. New characters would have kept me from selling my WII, its just too good to pass up new characters in a game you love so much. And can you confirm that devs keep the characters before releasing the game? I would love to see a link proving that.

Huh, well i apologize. I figured you were speaking of things you had no knowledge of, but i'll apologize in respect to the fact that you mastered twice as many characters as i bothered to (i've only really gotten Kirby, Mr. Game and Watch, Ike, and King Dedede)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Look no further than Mvs.C3 Shuma Gorath and Jill were already on the disc, there even in the damn strategy guide. Or what about SC4?? If you have the 360 version and want some Vader you gotta pay. OT I dont have a problem with DLC, extra maps adn levels for FPSs as long as they dont rake you over the balls on price. There are some games that could have benefitted from DLC, like Smash Bros. hell a patch could have helped that game
