It hasn't.

@Seece- this is Nintendo, after all. Put NOTHING past them.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

So we know the world above will be Wind-Waker esque in its execution for exploratory purposes, but it still remains as to how the world below will be linked...

Likely it will be akin to past games in that it will have distinct 'open' areas, connected by linear rutes, but no open world as such. Obviously, the way you navigate the world will be linear at first, with you dependent mostly on the bird to get to new locations, but likely it will open up in time, as usual.

Of course, the game also could take the form of a dungeon crawler... and strangely enough, I'm not put off by that idea. It depends on what they want to focus on.

NO GANON????!!! This is exciting news haha

Sounds good.

About the exploration, I'm glad they are leaving the "world of isles" for the sky. Let's hope the world under is as big as the world from Twilight Princess. Or bigger now that they have more space on the disk.

Please excuse my bad English.

Added an update to the NP interview on the OP. Though related to Zelda, it doesn't concentrate on SS, moving unto the anniversary, MM and Wii U.

It is definitely a tremendous game- there is so much content that Mr. Miyamoto and I haven't been able to thoroughly play it all. We're obviously in the process of doing the refinement, but the fact that we're still chewing through the content as we go is a testament to the fact that it is a game backed by a tremendous volume of game play and content. When I say volume, its not necessarily just that there's a big world out there to explore. You come to understand the structures of things in your world, and you'll see a broadening of a kind of game play that goes on in these structures as you're playing through. So, that's one way the game has tremendous volume.

Big world :|

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

This and Xenoblade Chronicles are easily my most hyped games for the rest of the year. I'm loving the way this is shaping up.
