Depends on your definition of a "gamer". The sheer fact that it's currently selling over 1 Million units of SW a Week, tends to tell me that the "gamer community", as you put it, wants to play Wii.

Going by the software sales and hardware sales numbers. The Wii has been an overwhelming success this generation.

I think so cause it might not have the games on the HD consoles but it has its own games and the most exclusives. I have way more games on my Wii than my HD console. The Wii might not have the blockbuster title every six months but what is there is good. This is why I dislike EA cause The God Father: Blackhand Edition was the one of the best game ever to use motion controls with the Wii and that game was solid. I sold it cause EA just threw that game on the market.
