They are few, but they are out there. My list:

The Thing, Dawn of the Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on the Left, Amityville Horror, my bloody valentine, the Fly. Remember, they just need to be better than the original, doesnt mean you think they are great movies themselves!

The original Dawn of the Dead is a classic and had far more of a point than the new Dawn of the Dead ...

I can't comment fully on the rest of the list because I haven't seen the remake and/or I haven't seen the original in more than 15 years.

Ocean’s Eleven, Scarface, 3:10 to yuma, Cape fear,

left out the departed cause while it's a great movie it's not as good as infernal affairs

Wow, really Clash of the Titans. I only saw the original so I cant judge but from what people told me the remake was bad.

The orignal Clash of the Titans is a far (FAR) better movie ...

As long as nobody says Black Christmas or Prom Night. Those remakes were horrible!!!!
