gadafi is a dead man walking and thats what is all about, people in the west have been waiting for this opportunity and he will be taken out,i'm surprised he is still alive

@pullus so we are just stupid in the west are we? the main problem is that most arab states are just a total fuck up who can't even govern themselves and provide for their people,of course its always someone elses fault isn't it,never their own

My god you are one arrogant a**. You have absolutly no right to judge them, seeing how different your culture is, and seeing how litle knowledge you have about the arab nations. You think you just finished 5th grade and you can comment about anything, and especially in a manner like this one.

I agree with Pullus. NATO shouldent even be there. If Gadaffi dies, the country will be in an even deeper whole. Its just a scam, just like every conflict NATO participated since it was made...

just as arrogant as you and your perception of the west and its media, you think we are all the same do you aswell,i can't even remember school by the way and i can express any view i like,i don't want my country the uk involved there at all,let them solve their own problems in their own way but the whole world voted on libya you know its not some crusasde you pompus a**,its all a scam you say which makes you sound like the school boy with no knowledge of world politics

That statement disgusts me. Really it does.

Why does it. because your precious western media deemed those warlords as heroes? Wake up, not everything you hear on the morning news, while you drink your coffee is actually the truth

1) I don't drink coffee

2) One of my two main sources of news is actually Al Jazeera, which hardly counts as western (the other being the BBC, which is)

3) The vast majority of the rebels it is impossible to classify as warlords. They are actually mostly an unorganized force of essentially independant fighters with a common goal (which is why Gadaffi was able to give them a hiding early on), that common goal being to get rid of Gadaffi.

Libyan "Rebels" just want Qaddafi to leave so that they can start their own criminal families disguised as cults and militias , its the same thing that happened in iraq and will happen in syria.

dictators sure are evil, but its a necessary evil, without Qaddafi these dickheads are going to run rampart and start their own terrorist group to make it even worse to poor people, and whats worse is its all in the name of god, so people in the same religion will think they're the good guys and send support or just blindly join them like a pack of sheep, and put all the blame on the US ,the British and jews and christians, its like a pack of teenagers who are fighting each other and then blame it on their parents, to be honest i just want to see everyone of these fucking rebels burn and get on with my life.

most people in the US and UK see this from outside the box, they don't know much about what happens, only know from fox news and other sources who are just spreading lies making everything just black and white . hey here is the bad guy who is trying to defend himself by "opressing" his people, and here is his poor people , who are so poor that they magically summoned a huge clusterfuck of ak47's ,bazookas and tanks out of their homes with no relation to drug dealing and black market from other terrorist groups from outside... so whos the good side here? , NO ONE

Man this whole warmonger crusader crap really pisses me off. Trying to argue that all the rebels in Libya are some how warlords is so immature and laughable its not funny. Yes some of the leaders have been in Al-Qaida, but others were in Gaddafi's own Army. They were proffesional soldiers who were ordered to kill innocent unarmed civilians.

As for us all eating up Fox news. Reality check the majority of us are intellectuals on this site, not many dumb enough to buy anything Fox or CNN reports. We get our news from Al-Jazeera and BBC or CBC. I also read Reuters and the Associated Press for my information. The world including China and Russia voted to enter Libya, it wasn't an oil grab it wasn't a Zionist plot to take over the middle east. It was a simple move to stop Gaddafi from butchering his own people.

As for this whole NATO should stay out of the middle east, well if the Middle East stayed out of NATO affairs maybe their wouldn't be an issue. Fact is this isn't the middle ages , we live in a global community and actions from countries effect the rest of the globe. The rest of the world cares about each others affairs and the lives of global citizens. If Gaddafi didn't start killing his citizens and instead bowed to democratic reform like Tunisia and Egypt then we wouldn't be in this mess. If Gaddafi's troops didn't attack western citizens and innocent civilians we would not be in this mess.

Also to say a dictator is a nescessary evil is really niave. Look  at Iraq, a democratic Government is still able to maintain control and lead the country forward, without the dictator. Once Gaddafi is gone and democratic reform happens Libya will be a far better off country then it ever was.

Also before putting all the blame on NATO and the west notice China officially recognized the Rebel Government as the legitamit Libyan Government. That is China the country that flip flopped and supported Gaddafi, its communist China a country that rarely ever agrees with NATO. This is a global war not a NATO one, the whole world is behind NATO!

seems to me from the bolded is that you don't actually agree with yourself ? , you said they're not warlords and then you say they're warlords?

as for Egypt . i've been going there twice a year since 5 years ago,i'm actually studying their "Laws" , i've lived their lives , i know their langauge (since i speak the same) , i know their religions beliefs and all that, and let me tell you they are the most hyproctical people i've ever seen, and the most uneducated bunch as well, they don't know anything about anything, the whole thing they did their little revolution is just a bunch of kids trying to mimic what happened in tunisia, i've been there when it happened, i even toke vids of the whole thing, they never wanted peace rather just want to rob each other.

you guys are very kind to thinking they just need peace and quite, but in reality since you live so far away, not knowing much of what people are like in these parts, you see them from the outside, sometimes when people are in a civil war, it doesn't mean that their leaders are to blame, sometimes the people just don't know what is good for them or rather in the case of egypt , they only want to run their crimes as free as a bird without law.

Well troops are making a fool of themself anyway...who is fighting with the rebels? Al Qaida...In Libya your friend in the rest of the world your enemy not matter what is going to happen Libya will probably stay a mess or end to exist and becomese 2-3 countries..,the reason for starting the war made sense for the most the endresult probably will not;

Everyone, please, calm down. You're all getting dangerously close to starting a massive flame war.

I understand this is a polarising issue, and many of you disagree, but please, keep it civil.

Just offer $50M for Qaddafi, dead or alive. Once he's fallen, if a democracy is created in place of the former dictatorship, so much for the better, if another tyrant takes over Lybia, rinse and repeat as soon as possible, to prevent him to consolidate his power. Even in the worst case it would cost less than how things are conducted now, in the best case everything ends quick and cheap.

Why would we offer 50mil to them, if we truly wanted him dead he would be.
