Forums - Gaming - E3 had nothing but garbage for me this year.

well I liked tomb raider. At the expense of it getting delayed a year
I liked FFXIII-2. At the expense of it getting delayed a few months

Thankfully Skyrim or Deus Ex did not get delayed. And Wipeout 2048 was there. So I'm happy XD.

New IP's generally surprise me in good and bad ways. It's harder to get hyped about those because there's so much unknown in the general concept.

There's not really anyway for me to tell if I'll like the general style of the game. Like for instance the Mindjack Concept was cool. But the game was not for me. And generally reviewed... really aweful.

And Dead Space, didn't really seem different that resident evil which I find bleh. But the killing by dismemberment was one of my favorite things. As well as it being in space, which I like more.

Get it devs, KINECT IS FOR KIDS, not for guys who want to shoot people!

Please, now you're just being ignorant. I'm not going to tell you what to think of Kinect, but if you don't think it can't improve gameplay outside of kids games, then you really are blind. Mass Effect 3 looked way more fun to play giving voice commands to your squad instead of going through all the menus, and it looks like it will drive immersion up too. Ryse looks akin to Red Steel 2, which was awesome. Fully tracked battles with sword and shield, yes please!

Nothing an head set cant do is all i am going to say there for mass effect 3.

Anyways Kinect isn't an kids only toy, i dont reguard middle age mothers as kids. But i have pointed out many times, until 3D movement can use kinect (with no controller) its been an failure on the core gamer front and devs shouldn't bother. I also dont see using an controller then getting up or throwing an arm in the air going to create immersion if they do add an controller to the mix.

The point of Kinect is to make the technology invisible, and making people wear headsets makes it much less accessible. In the case of ME3, yes, a headset could have done the same, but why not have a device that can do more?

And we have 3D movement without a controller, you could see it in Ghost Recon. I don't know if it's a good implementation, but it's there. Star Wars Kinect allows you to move around as well without a controller (you can change directions and move forward in this direction).

Thank God i do not share any of your ideas...

We all play games for Christ sake of course we all have a kid inside doesn t matter how big it is, still a kid!

No excuse, I do not want to change your mind but... I am so happy to be me in this moment!

Switch!!!

agreed for the most part
-ryse looks like the game i have been waiting for kinect hardcore
- halo 4 announcement was awesome
-vita pricing is good
-splinter cell with kinect
aside from that everything else didnt interest me much, ofcourse i am buying witcher 2, batman arkham city, dead island etc..... but nothing new and exciting announced all sequels. also the booth babes for day 1 last year >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> this year.

5. Kinect still looks as ridiculous as it started, and now it's even worse. Aside from looking stupid waving around in free space, the games looked like crap, aside from the Sesame Street thing, which was fitting for the thing since it's a kids game. Worst of all, they're going to put the bloody thing in places where it doesn't belong. In a shooter? In an action game? Thankfully it isn't too widespread. Get it devs, KINECT IS FOR KIDS, not for guys who want to shoot people! I'll never be caught dead pretending I have a gun in my hand. KB is still right. What is this, third grade? Pew Pew Pew.

you forget that you're still waving your hands around in empty space like an idiot. it could be the most accurate tracking device in the world, but i will never be caught dead in the middle of my living room pretending i have something in my hand. that's just ridiculous.

In the same way that we currently sit still and press buttons like idiots? Moving around can be more fun than just pressing buttons, but that doesn't make it ridiculous. It'll look silly to anyone who doesn't know what's going on of course. It's the same way with sitting with a controller and pushing buttons, it looks silly to anyone who doesn't know what's going on.

If you don't like it, then that's fine. But at least be fair about, instead of just being a pointless hater.

Here is your FFXIII-2 Info blowout.

Otherwise I agree E3 sucked apart from NGP $249 and I liked Nintendo's console concept!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

E3 was poor this year, but Uncharted 3 didn't look underwhelming, it looked like another great game in the making.

i mostly agree but on one point disagree.

nintendo/sony/ms had disappointing shows but there was some good stuff out of third parties.

it wasn't in either conference. a game of this magnitude should have more press time than say, the piece of crap that was kinect star wars. it's like they were burying everything somehow.
