No System Shock is giant fail :(

I think it might be temporary thing, as soon as EA secures the right. It will go on GOG.

I think the rights issue is pretty complicated, and not likely to be resolved easily, but I certainly hope so. I really like System Shock 2. It's one of my favorite old games.

I'm looking forward to Dungeon Keeper 2. I once saw my friend play it and I thought I might like it. I just never got the chance to play it myself but it's a game I haven't been able to forget completely.

I'm also willing to guess EA has tons more interesting games I'm not aware of. I'm looking forward to them as well.

Awesomesauce.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

That's very good news for GOG, but why is EA teaming with them and anouncing Origin at the same time?

Looks like a double strategy to me.

They sell their newer games on Origin and let GOG handle the re-releases of their classics from the 90s.

Yes, but they sell their new games on Steam too. If you sell your games, both old and new on competing platforms why lauch your own one? (besides the obvious "because we can or because we want more money)

Origin is probably EA's big step to their own dowload service where they will exclusively sell their games one day. I don't think EA really cares about their old games anymore and that's probably why they gave them to GOG instead of re-releasing them on Origin.

BTW: Isn't it ironic that EA sell their new games on a service called Origin and their acquired Origin (Systems) games on GOG? I wonder what Richard & Robert Garriott will think about the naming of EA's new service...

I think it's just EA's way of recognizing that their online store sucks and needs a revamp. I don't think they care about trying to make a competing platform to GOG or Steam because Origin is just their new, hopefully less crappy, online store.

But they already said that they will launch content for their games only available through Origin, making it compete with GOG and Steam.

When they showed that screen with all the publishers on it, I thought "Holy hell, all of these people are going to be on GoG?"

Then I realised that it was only one of them, and that the best classic game they've published (System Shock) wouldn't be on there.

It is a work in progress, I bet the others will sign up in due time.

We can only hope. I really like GoG as a service, but I do wish it would grow faster
