I'll be conceited, I don't care if the console doesn't sell gangbusters. I just want a console I love with the games i love. N64 and Gamecube are still two of my absolute favorite consoles of all times.

Because of the games.

That's why I'll always buy Nintendo's next console every gen.

beautiful

We dont work for the big 3

we dont own any part of thw big 3

we are gamers and the only shit we should be worried about is what we are playing

this whole nervous breakdownabout 3DS and Cafe and geohot and hackers and shit is gettin ridiculous

didnt somebody else just make a thread about the same topic?

I find it hard to believe how much people are dooming Nintendo for a console that we have no solid information about and a console that launched a month ago and has its entire software library ahead of it. I still don't know why people are saying the 3DS is not appealing to the casuals, too - glassless 3D is as "gimmicky" as it gets and would definitely appeal to the mass market if Nintendo properly got the word out about it.

As long as that means I will get Eternal Darkness 2 and another Metroid revolution I really don't mind.

Bold part is you making the same mistake Nintnedo is making. Don't underrestimate the mass market like that.

xD, I'm more part of the mass market than the "core" market myself. The "gimmicky" was a mockful reference to what core gamers think of it.

As for its mass market appeal, whilst this is completely anecdotal and probably exaggerated due to my bias, I've found that pretty much everyone I show the glassless 3D to finds it cool. The mistake that Nintendo's making, though, is perhaps trying to get people to buy the 3D themselves. They should actually just try to get the traditional Nintendo fans on board and the word of mouth of the 3D will sell itself as it did for the Wii. Right now, it's as if Nintendo's trying to force the "Wii effect" on the market by trying to sell the 3D (as motion control for the Wii) and it isn't working because people don't trust Nintendo and have to experience the technology themselves.
