Don't say that! The less competition the better, and the more likely we'll become Writers!
How many places are there then?

Haha, I thought that too, but in all reality, if you write a good review, it is good whether or not more people are here, and I'm sure they would be able to find a spot for you.

I'm hoping to write mine this weekend. Hopefully I'm considered a regular user by now :)

Okay, so as requested I've written up a 1600 word review for Portal 2, Mostly on PS3 but with mention of the PC and 360 versions. I'm wondering if I should go through it with a fine-tooth comb before submitting it. It says here you have a GREAT editing process, but I'm a bit of an editor myself so I like to go over my stuff personally before submitting it.
Of course I'll likely do so anyway, but I'm just wondering if it needs to be done by default.

Somebody who edits their own reviews!
*gives runa216 a massive hug*
To answer your question, speaking as a copy editor, yes, it's lovely.

Even if you don't go through it with a fine-tooth comb we expect every one of our reviewers to at least look over their reviews for stupid obvious grammar/spelling errors and if we see too many of those we'll just assume that you are too much of a bother to have on the team.
OT at bold: still no match for my 3400 word Valkyria Chronicles review, the editors hated me soooo much.
...
oh, this wasn't a race, my last review was like 3500 words, I was going for 'about the same' as the existing Portal 2 review on site, which was 1500.
I'll do a run through after supper and mail it to ya! Can't wait to get some feedback!

oh sure, stifle my creativity. I need my artistic nature to soar like an eagle but you force it to waddle on the ground like a penguin. DON'T TURN ME INTO YOUR PENGUIN, SIR!
